2. Quote Creation Walkthrough - Configuring a Switchboard.

  • After selecting Switchboard in the Product Catalog, configure the Switchboard as needed for the job you are Quoting. 

  • Please note if you are unsure how to get to this screen, please see the COMPAS Training Tracks on how to create a Quote.
  • Once you have configured your Switchboard design, please select ‘Save & Close’ on the right Actions menu.

  • This will take you back to the main Quote screen in COMPAS.

3. Configuring a Switchboard – Reports Generation.

  • Upon returning to the main Quote screen, you will need to “check off” the line you want to generate a proposal or drawings for, by checking the box to the left of the line.
  • Next, please select the ‘Reports’ button on the right Actions Menu.

  • Select desired reports and then click ‘Generate’ button in the top right corners of the actions menu.
  • Once reports have generated, a ‘View’ icon with appear next to each report.
  • To View reports, please select the ‘View’ link and a .pdf document will open with the generate report in a new window.
  • Once you have desired reports, select the ‘Back’ button in the top left corner to return to the Quote page.

4. Configuring a Switchboard – Adding Applicable Parts.

  • Upon returning to the main Quote screen, use your reports to configure applicable breakers or parts needed for your order by selecting the ‘Add Product’ button on the right Actions Menu. 
  • You can also add products by typing the product number in the yellow quote line Manually.
  • Follow steps for configuring products from basic COMPAS User trainings.

  • Upon returning to the main Quote screen, use your reports to configure applicable breakers or parts needed for your order.
  • After adding all applicable parts, remove the Switchboard line item by selecting the check box to the left of the switchboard line.
  • The Switchboard/Panelboard lines must be removed prior to order entry or price approval, this is because these these steps have been disabled for Amplify users per service agreements with Siemens.

  • When the line item has been successfully deleted you will get a pop up in the lower right corner, stating that the line has been deleted. 
  • If the remaining lines complete your order, proceed with Order Entry steps.
