COMPAS Go : Frequently Asked Questions - Panel Configurations

This article consolidates the FAQ's on panel configurations in COMPAS Go. [click on the respective question for answer or click on the "Expand All / Collapse All" button ]

+ Can you save the global settings to use on another job? I.E. You have an engineer that uses certain specifications so you enter those in global setting and can use on another job by that engineer at a later date.

Answer: Yes, You can set global settings at user level and COMPAS GO will use them as default if you don't change / override global settings at job level.

+ Are you working on global settings for other product groups like safety switches, motor control, etc.?

Answer: Yes, we will be adding global settings support for more products in near future.

+ Most jobs allow load centers to be series rated. In this case, the schedules it is showing 22K. What's the best way to global change to 10K regardless of what SIScan might see on the schedule in order to price 10K?

Answer: We have Global Settings option available in SIScan for Load Center. You can set AIC rating to override values in schedule document.

+ Can you change the global settings after you have built all your panels?

Answer: No. Global settings will apply only on new configurations. Please use Value Engineering to perform changes for already configured Panelboards.

+ If global settings are changed 1/2 way through a quote, would it adjust existing panels?

Answer: No. Global settings will apply only on new configurations. Please use Value Engineering to perform changes for already configured Panelboards.

+ Are there plans to add a surge protector product selector into COMPAS Go?

Answer:

+ In the new panelboard configurator, in the breaker selection screen, will you list the total circuit used at the bottom of the screen as the current configurator has?

Answer: Yes, We have already addressed this feedback.

+ Can Bolt Surge be added to Panelboards?

Answer:

+ Can we save multiple configurations? IE: copper bus, nameplates, special fronts, or aluminum bus?

Answer: No

+ What is the difference in COMPAS Go between "Reset" and "Clear Value" in the drop down menus, and when do you use one over the other?

Answer: Clear value will wipe out current selection and bring list of valid available selections. Reset option will keep current selection and bring list of available options to the drop list.
