Configure to open COMPAS Go PDF reports in Mozilla Firefox, Adobe or PDF-Xchange

This article provides steps how to specify one of the three options within Mozilla Firefox for opening .pdf files.

1. Download file to your computer
2. Open file in Mozilla Firefox browser
3. Open file in Adobe or PDF-XChange

Follow the steps to configure your Mozilla Firefox for PDF files

1. On your computer, open Firefox .

2. At the top right, click   which is "Open Application Menu".

Then click on the settings and the following page is available.

3. In the above screen, navigate to the "Application" which is highlighted as shown below.

4. Select the "Portable Document Format (PDF)" as shown below

5. Now the user has the following options.

• Use Windows default application [] : This option is used to open in the Adobe Reader which is currently in your system
• Open in Firefox [] : This option is used to open the PDF file in the Firefox automatically
• Always ask  [] : This will prompt user for selection to open the PDF file
• Save File [] : This option will allow user to download the PDF file 
• Use Other [ ] : This option is used to open in other application

6. Use the following option to open the COMPAS Go PDF report in Firefox automatically.

8. Use the following option to open the COMPAS Go PDF report in system installed Abode Reader

9. Use the following option to download the COMPAS Go PDF reports.

Simple steps 

1. Copy paste the following on to your browser

about:preferences

2. On doing so, the browser navigates to the following page where you have the options to open the PDF files in browser or Adobe Reader.
