Create external change request for quote with new panelboard structure change in COMPAS Go


This article provides detailed steps on quotes with panelboard with new structure change in COMPAS Go.

External change request for the quote with new panelboard structure change can be classified into 3 scenarios

  • Orders created before October 19, 2020 which has the old panelboard structure
  • Orders created in COMPAS Go after October 19, 2020 with new panelboard structure [can and front may be type matched to a catalog number]
  • Orders created in Desktop after October 19, 2020 with new panelboard structure

Scenario 1 : Orders created before October 19, 2020 which has the old panelboard structure

1. Refer the following quote as example for the above scenario. Following is the manage jobs page in COMPAS Desktop.

Following in the pricing page in COMPAS Desktop.

2. Create external change order. Following is observed by the user. Panelboard indicates "EPM version mismatch"

Pricing information is as follows

3. After reconfiguration of panelboard

Pricing information is as follows. Discount is applied to interior / can / front. Customer support can change the discount for the same.

4. Now the customer support changes the discount as shown below

5. Complete the technical review

6. Add internal pricing notes for the MAP team to know the changes.

7. After completing the above, submit for pricing approval.


Scenario 2 : Orders created in COMPAS Go after October 19, 2020 with new panelboard structure [can and front may be type matched to a catalog number]

1. Following is the sales order created in COMPAS Go with Can and Front is type matched.

Pricing information is as follows. 

2.  After initiating the ECR - External change request

Pricing information is as follows

3. After reconfiguration following is the information in manage job and pricing page.

4. Add internal pricing notes in the header as shown below to inform the MAP users.

5. Then submit the order for pricing approval.


Scenario 3 : Orders created in Desktop after October 19, 2020 with new panelboard structure

1. Following is the sales order created from COMPAS Go. Can and front is type matched.

4. Following information is available to the user regarding the discounts in interior / can / fronts

5. Add internal pricing notes in the header to inform the MAP team on the changes.

6. Complete the review process and submit for pricing approval
