Do you have a fire alarm breaker?

NFPA 72 requirements state:

  • Section 10.5.5.2.2 – For fire alarm systems the circuit disconnecting means shall be identified as “FIRE ALARM CIRCUIT” *(this can be done on the panel label where the contractor writes the circuit information)
  • Section 10.5.5.2.3 – For fire alarm systems the circuit disconnecting means shall have a red marking. *(Shall have a red marking – it doesn’t say the breaker has to be red. For years, the guys used to just put a red dot on the handle with finger nail polish)

Siemens offering: Fire Alarm Circuit Breaker Accessory
ECPLD1R, ECPLD2R, ECPLD3R

Benefits:

  • No special breaker needed *(we have received great feedback from the field that they like the accessory because they can throw them on their truck and grab them when needed. No need to carry 2 different types of breakers in every amperage)
  • Can be field assembled for existing plug-on, bolt-on, lug-in/lug-out, DIN rail breakers
