How do you remove the undervoltage release (UVR) for a WL breaker?

How do you remove the undervoltage release (UVR) for a WL breaker?

It is occasionally necessary to remove the UVR either so that the breaker can be closed without control voltage being present or to replace it.

  1. Open the breaker and ensure the springs are discharged.
  2. Remove retaining bracket by rotating the winged fastener on the left side until it releases.
Note:  The video shows how to remove the secondary disconnect block, this is not normally required
  3. Remove UVR by lifting it out of the accessory pocket.
  4. If necessary, disconnect the UVR wires from the secondary disconnect block (held in by spring-tension terminals accessible with a 1/8" flat blade screwdriver.
