How to configure IR (Infrared) Viewing Window in Switchboards

This article provides information to configure the Infrared viewing window(s) during configuring the Switchboard. 

Specifications may call for a Infrared viewing window(s) to view Lug connections or Bus connections. Depending on the requirement one or two IR windows can be applied to a section. These IR windows do not show up on the drawing. IR information is listed in the Estimate Sheet and Proposal.

Note: IR Windows are not used for panel branch device connections. 

1. Login in the COMPAS Go with valid credentials.

2. Create a new quote or open an existing quote. 

3. Use the option as shown below to add a new product. In this case, it will be Switchboard. 

5. On select the product, the following is available to the user. 

6. Select the following tab "Enclosure Modifications" as shown below. IR Windows attribute is visible to user.

7. On selecting the check box, few more attributes are available [ Incoming IR Windows, Distribution Gutter IR Windows, Indv. Branch Load IR Windows] as shown below.

8. Distribution Gutter IR Windows attribute will have the following options to select.

9. Make your selection and complete the switchboard configuration and then "save and close" the window.  Remember this is a custom selection.  Deleting the layout will remove any section properties.
