Load Center Updates - April 2020

This articles details the information on the knowledge base release of Load Center for the month of April 2020. Changes as part of the release are mentioned below

• New Product Launch  PN & SN Plug-On Neutral Single Phase Load Centers
• Load Center Configurator - Application/User Interface (UI) changes
• Load Center Configurator – Quote/Order changes starting April 2, 2020

1. New Product Launch  PN & SN Plug-On Neutral Single Phase Load Centers

PN & SN replace PL & ES single phase load centers

• PN & SN suitable with new Plug-On Neutral Circuit Breakers – CAFCI, Dual Function, GFCI
• Murray Load Centers no longer selectable 
• PL & ES 3 phase Load Center and other legacy load center products continue

3. Renovation and Renovation with Feed Through Lug  
4. Small Circuit Load Centers (was MCB Enclosure)
5. Small Breaker Enclosures (was MCB Enclosure)

Configurator, Product Selector and Cross-Reference Tool are being updated for the COMPAS release.

2. Load Center Configurator - Application/User Interface (UI) changes

Updates to User Interface/ Configuration View to match updates in the SpeedFax

• Sequence of characteristics – shift Amp Rating and Load Center Series
• Separate section at bottom of view for Other Product Information – Display only 

1. Interrupt Ratings Max, Ground Bar – Factory Installed, Convertible, Neutral Provided, Enclosure Height , Enclosure Width x Depth
2. This data included in Reports – Proposal & Estimate Sheet

Characteristic Main Type – Standard construction  - Main Breaker or Main Lug

Characteristic Load Center Type – Standard construction – Load Center

1. 100 - 225 Amp. PN/SN 1 phase &  PL/ES 3 phase
2. 300 - 400 Amp. EQ 1 & 3 phase

Characteristic Load Center Type – Special constructions – require fewer selections

1. Load Center with Feed Through Lugs (was Trailer Panel)
2. Load Center with First Surge – PN or SN versions
3. Generator Ready, Riser, Renovation, Small Circuit Load Centers, Small Breaker Enclosures

Characteristic Main Type – Special constructions – require fewer selections  

1. Main Lug - 500 Kcmil Max – SN3048L1200L50 (Gray) or SN3048L1200L5W (White)
2. Selectable - add Lug or Bkr Kit - SN versions for field installation Main Breaker or Main Lug kits

3. Load Center Configurator – Quote/Order changes starting April 2, 2020

Quotes – Line items that used the Load Center configurator

PL/ES 1 phase & Murray products – consider changing to new PN/SN for non-stocked items
To make a change, treat similar to a standard product. 

• Cancel the existing line
• Add a new product line as a standard product or use the updated configurator 
• Resubmit for price approval, if needed, before order conversion

1. Add a Pricing Note to the quote to indicate that a line was previously price approved at $xxx.

Orders – Line items that used the Load Center configurator

PL/ES 1 phase & Murray products – consider changing to new PN/SN for non-stocked items

• For line items on Hold for Release with large quantities – confirm stock is available before releasing.

To make a change, treat similar to a standard product. Confirm the line is not released already.

• Use an External Change Request (ECR) to cancel the existing line
• Use a second ECR to add a new product as either a standard product or use the configurator. 

1. Add a Pricing Note to the ECR to indicate that a line was previously price approved at $xxx.

Pricing – Net Price for replacement items 

• Rules have been established with Pricing Team and Product Mgmt.
