Global Change is now Value Engineering in COMPAS Go. The Value Engineering name comes for the information users get out of using this tool. VE globally changes selections but offers a comparison in pricing.
Let me show you how to navigate Value Engineering and add your favorite attributes.
- Value Engineering (VE) is only available when editing is OFF.
- The first screen has a list of steps to follow. Start at Selecting Line Item(s)
3. Users can select all panelboards by clicking on the top check box or by panelboard. Users can use Search to find a panelboard. If the quote contains a switchboard, it to will be represented here as a % of the quote.
3. This example focuses on panelboards.
4. Once the selection is complete the next step is VE Selections. Here a user will define what the VE or Global Changes are.
5. VE Selections defaults to a General section. Users can customize their VE options by opening up the "Select additional attributes".
6. Click on the "Select additional attributes". You will see a list of all panelboard attributes. This is where a user will build their custom changes.
5. Select additional attributes window opens up to many options to choose. The categories are Panelboard, Interior, Front and Enclosure, Nameplates, Panel Type, Paint and Product Services. Notice the star and the small check mark. To keep your VE selection for all jobs click on the star. If you only want the selection for this job use the check mark in the small box. Selectivity on panelboard attributes like you never had before.
7. Once you have made your selections they are added to the default VE offerings for this and future quotes. Build what you need!
