COMPAS Go: Switchboard Section and Bus Types  (Video 4.42 Min)

This article has a training video for Switchboard Section and Bus Types in COMPAS Go.

When configuring a Switchboard in COMPAS Go you design the Switchboard from Plans and Specifications.  Many options! When manually adding an additional section to a configured Switchboard you must complete the Section Properties. Below you will find a screen shot of the properties.

  • Section Type: Make the required selection from the drop down. Most common are Non-Bussed Pull, Pass Thru and Corner Section.  Other Section type selections should be configured automatically. No need for a “Add Section”.
  • Top or Bottom Bus Type: Make the required selection from the drop down. Example: Line thru bus.
  • Thru Bus Amperage: Check the Electrical View.
  • Section Bus Amperage: On Non-Bussed Pull, Pass Thru and Corner Section. Set to Thru Bus Amperage.
  • Feed Location: Top or Bottom. Where is the horizontal bus located in the section feeding the “Add Section”?
  • Feed Position: Which way is the horizontal bus running from the incoming? From the left, or right?
