Add Services (Video 22.07 min)

This article provides steps and information on add services in COMPAS Go.

  • Add Services in COMPAS Go (Checked Out)
  • Once a quote is created and contains configured engineered products, under Actions, select "Add Services" to open the Electrical Services page.
  • Users can customize by selecting specific Electrical Services offerings
    • Power System Studies • Startup/Commissioning • Trainings for both
  • Now you can “ADD OTHER ELECTRICAL SERVICES”
  • Add supporting details to the COMPAS Drive/Electrical Services folder.
  • Using Power Systems Study in Add Services is a first step in a process.
  • Earn Additional Warranty for applicable items.

Reasons why your start up or training request may be delayed.

1. Lack of information when EIS (Electrical Infrastructure Systems) submit the requests. The Electrical Services Operations - Power Systems Team frequently finds:

  • The BOM is not complete.
  • The drawing is not at 100% or signed by a P.E.
  • The drawing does not have a job site location.
  • If you enlarge the drawing, the Power System Team still needs all the drawing information.
  • The non-Siemens equipment is not listed in the quote.

*These are not COMPAS Go issues. These issues are the responsibility of EIS.

2.   A request for additional information is ignored.  The request for additional information comes from the Power System Team via Email.
NOTE: Add Services lines are not deleted in COMPAS Go quotes. The Electrical Services Operations – Power Systems Team will not touch the rejected lines in COMPAS Go where information was not received. The Power Systems Team will send an Email to Sales to request additional information. The quote will be held/ignored if the Power Systems Team does not receive any answer or action from sales.

In the past, rejecting the lines was creating a red line and notification in sales so they were aware that something was wrong. Rejecting lines is creating issues so the Power Systems team will stay only with the Email process for now.
