Soft Starter: Addition of the new enclosed 3RE47 Soft starter
The new 3RE47 enclosed soft starter with open soft starters 3RW50, 52 and 55 are replacing Class 73 and 74 enclosed soft starter.
Class 73 and 74 3RW40 (>98A at 50o C) and 3RW44 (all sizes) will become non-saleable (PM410) early 2023.
The 3RW40 (11 - 98A at 50o C starting Class 10) are not being discontinued.
The 3RW50 is limited to (128 - 504A at 50o C starting Class 10E). Due to the partial replacement of 3RW4 with 3RW5, the Class 73 and 74 enclosed soft starters will be replaced with enclosed 3RW52 and 55. Enclosed 3RW40 (11 - 98A at 50o C starting Class 10) will continue to be offered but under the same new nomenclature that will developed for the enclosed 3RW5. The 3RW50 will not be included mainly due to issues associated with 2-phase controllers for larger motors. The new product line will consist of the following:
- 3RW40 (11 - 98A at 50o C starting Class 10)
- 3RW52 (11.5 - 504A at 50o C starting Class 10E)
- 3RW55 (11.5 - 1130A at 50o C starting Class 10E)
- 3RW55-Failsafe (11.5 - 504A at 50o C starting Class 10E)
The configurator configures and resolves to a fully qualified 16-digit MLFBs for both standard and modified materials.
- Being fully qualitied MLFBs, the TYZ prefix traditionally used was not incorporated.
- For modified materials, the identifier "-Z" is added to the MLFB.
- Standard mods are represented by order codes in "ANN" format. For example, F00=Pilot Light Red ON.
- Custom mods, such as today's Z1 mods, that require additional customer information are represented by order codes in "YNN" format.
- If the MLFB is known it can be entered into the configurator and MOD options can be added (reverse configuration).
