OE Learning Track : Create ICR

This section of the article provides information on the steps to create an ICR (Internal Change Request) for BOM editing after having clicked on the quote name from your search results to view the order in COMPAS Go.

1. Open the submitted order for which a change request is needed and select the desired line item

2.  Click on Change Order, then Create CR.

3. A pop-up will appear to show availability of the line item. Select the line item here again and click Next. The Create CR window appears. Make the appropriate selections for Initiator and Reason. Choose Plant Internal Change Request for Process. Click Create.

4. Note that editing is now On. The line item is now available for configuration changes. Click on the wrench to begin editing and to access the OE tool.

5. A configuration must be released using the OE tool, either through a PM release or a full release, before submitting the ICR in COMPAS Go. If a PM release is required before a full release, open OE by clicking Launch OE under the Actions menu.

6. Click on the menu in the top left corner and choose PM List. Note: In OE, many options are available for editing the configuration and BOM. This document focuses only on using OE to do a PM release or a full BOM release.

7. Set planned lead time filter as desired (default is >= 20 days), select parts, and click Save. Navigate back to the hamburger menu and click Release. Choose PM Release from the pop up, fill in release notes, and click Apply. Once processed, you will automatically return to the quote in GO.

8. The following options are available once an CR has been created.

9. The following options are available once an ICR has been created.

10. The following options are available once an ICR has been created.

11. Once Tech Review is completed, the ICR is ready for submission. Click on the Review & Submit tab, click Yes to confirm order entry.

12. Select checkbox at the bottom of the Review & Submit page and click on Update Order.A message will appear at the bottom right confirming the ICR submission

13. An ICR or IICR cannot be submitted in Go until it has been released in OE first. If the user tries to do so, the below message will appear. To check if an ICR/IICR has been released in OE before submitting in Go, look at the OE status value.

14. The ICR will now show as submitted. Go to the Quote Details tab. When the status shows as Updated (refresh the order to see this change), the ICR has been completed.

15. To do a full BOM release, create a new ICR following the same steps as before. Changes to the ICR can be made in the COMPAS GO configurator and/or using the OE tool. Launch OE as shown before. If changes were made in GO, you will be prompted to merge the changes into OE.
Open the hamburger menu and choose BOM Resolver.

16. Similarly, when an ICR/ECR/IICR is created after a previously engineered change request, the following prompts will appear upon launching OE.

17. Changes to the BOM will appear in the right-side panes. Choose to accept or reject the changes.

18. Complete any further engineering/BOM editing in OE. Open the menu and choose Release. Choose Final Release, fill in notes, and click Apply. Submit the ICR as shown before.

19. An ECR can be created on an existing line item or to add new products to the order. For an existing line item, select it from the original order and click on Create CR.
Make the appropriate selections for Initiator and Reason. Choose External Change Request for Process. Click Create. Open the configuration and make changes. Save & Close. Click Submit CR from the Actions menu.

20. To add a new product, simply click Create CR from the original order. A message will appear to confirm the action. The Create CR pop up will appear with the Process type already populated as an External Change Request.
Use the Add Product option in the Actions menu to add the new product. Save & Close, then Submit CR.

21. When an ICR is required to process an ECR, an IICR will need to be created. Open the submitted ECR for which an IICR is required and select the line. Click on Change Order, then Transfer Mode.
Transfer mode line availability will be shown. Click Next.

22. Manually check if an ICR exists (i.e. if engineering has been started/completed) before making the transfer mode selection.

23. Open the configuration, Launch OE, make the desired changes, Release as shown before, and submit the IICR in Go.

24. Click the bell icon to see all change requests that have been created and their status
