- We are requiring tech review anywhere a user uses a legacy FD/FXD, DG, & FG where 3VA is a default. This is in P2, P3, P4, P5 panels and switchboards
- We have ensured 3VA41 is the most competitively priced breaker vs. xGB in all Panelboards RP1-P2-P3-P4-P5 & SWBD products
- We are planning on removing FD/FXD frame from the Switchboard configurator in panel mounted applications starting in February 2021
- The remaining legacy frames xGB, xGB2, VL DG & FG frames will be planned to be removed from Compas soon. Dates TBA

- To use FD/FXD, DG, or FG, you will need to enter in a valid reason into the line items notes. If no reason is provided, the quote will be rejected
- If there is a reason to use xGB namely due to selective coordination or special pricing consideration, a pricing note should be added to the quote

- 3VA41 (125A low tab/bolt on) is available P1, P2, P3, P4 & P5, SWBD
- 3VA52 (250A thermal magnetic breaker) is available in P2, P3, P4, P5, & SWBD
- 3VA53 (400A thermal magnetic breakers) is available in P1
- 3VA61 (150A electronic trip breaker) is available in P2, P3, P4, P5, & SWBD
- 3VA62 (250A electronic trip breaker) is available in P2, P3, P4, P5, & SWBD
- 3VA63 (400A electronic trip breaker) is available in P1

- 3VA41 defaults in RP1, P2, P3, P4, P5, & SWBD
- 3VA52 defaults in COMPAS when qty>=3 is selected on any 250A breaker selection
- 3VA61 defaults in COMPAS in P2, P3, P4, P5, & SWBD
- 3VA62 defaults in P2, P3, P4, P5, & SWBD
- 3VA53/63 defaults in P1 or JXD2 depending on system voltage

One of the easiest ways is to match the dropdown of the upstream breaker to the downstream panel
Ensure Downstream is selected to match UL type

Yes, 3VA41 breakers are available in UPB, interiors are new, we have superseded P17… series with P18… series and this version accept both 3VA41 and xGB, plus they can be mixed in unit space

Yes, as of the end of July 3VA TCCs are available from the major software including SKM, Easypower, ETAP and EasyTCC. If they are not part of the standard library yet, you can send a request to the vendor add 3VA to your library.

- For field provisions with 3VA52, 3VA61, 3VA62 in P4, P5 and SWBD we had to add bus extensions to the breakers. The #S3VA52PR kit will need to be ordered in addition to the breaker when filling an existing provision in the field.
- For 3VA52 in a P3 Twin Mount – Hardware kit #BBKVA52P3HW is required in addition to the Breaker when filling an existing provision in the field.
- For 3VA52/61/62 in a P2 or P3 Single Mount – Hardware kit BBKVA5262P2HW is required in addition to the Breaker when filling an existing provision in the field

- P2 and P3 3VA ETU selections that may require a Neutral CT to be factory installed will be restricted temporarily for some ETU trip types – 5 series and 8-series may be restricted until KB in COMPAS has added logic for what will be allowed
