This article has a training video for ECR-External Change Request in COMPAS Go.
Users can create a new Change Order quote (CR) against the original order. Users can create a CR against an order that is on “Hold for Release” or has “Released line item(s)” up to the product being shipped. Users can create a CR to add “New Products” or “Edit” a configured product on an order. Depending on a line status of the order, charges may apply depending on the products completion in its manufacturing cycle.
A CR can be applied to an order that has a status of “Hold For Release” or “Released”. Users can create CR’s for multiple lines but not on the same line that is in the CR process. Editing is OFF because you are working on an order. Once you create the CR Editing will be ON.
CR Overview
Change Requests are used to quote changes on an order. Change requests are used to add products or edit configured lines on an existing order. CR’s require notes to be added to lines. Tell what has been added or changed. Submitting a CR will move the change request into Technical Review and Pricing Approval. Once these processes are complete the status of the CR will be Submitted
For on Hold Lines: Customer Support validates there are notes detailing the changes. The quote is then routed for technical review and pricing approval.
For Released lines: Customer Support validates there are notes detailing the changes.
For Standard Products: Customer Support reviews the status of the original line(s). If the change request can be accommodated, they route the request for pricing approval.
For Systems Products: A factory Application Engineer reviews the status of the original line(s). If the change request can be accommodated, they confirm and advise of associated cost if they apply.
Note: Submitting a Change Request for approval validates the quote but does not add it to the order. CR is valid for 5 working days. Make sure the CR/Order has the Contact Card applied.
