3RW4 Combination Testing

Question:

Customer is looking to use a circuit breaker on a 3RW404* in a UL application for protection.  They are not finding the details in the equipment manual or UL file that leads them to believe that it is okay? Only finding combination testing with circuit breakers up to 3RW403*

Answer:

In addition to the certificate of compliance posted on SIOS: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/71006369/general-product-approval-ul-ul?dti=0&lc=en-WW , attached is another Certificate of Compliance which includes extended combination testing with breakers. The certificate shows it was tested with a few of the Sentron line breakers on page 7 and 9. Also note that on page 12 listed are other breakers permitted.
