Configure to open COMPAS Go PDF reports in Google Chrome, Adobe or PDF-Xchange

This article provides steps how to specify one of the three options within Google Chrome for opening .pdf files.

  1. Download file to your computer
  2. Open file in Google Chrome browser
  3. Open file in Adobe or PDF-XChange

Follow the steps to configure your Google Chrome for PDF files.

1. On your computer, open Chrome.

2. At the top right, click More   and then navigate to the "Settings".

On doing so, the following page is available.

3. In the above screen, click "Security and Privacy" which is highlighted. Then click the "Site settings" as highlighted below.

4. Navigate to the bottom of the page and click on the "Additional content settings" as highlighted below

5. Near the bottom, click PDF documents as highlighted below.

6. Select the option "Open PDFs in Chrome" and enable the option of automatically opening the PDFs in Chrome.

7. Chrome will now open COMPAS Go PDF reports automatically when you click them.

8. If user wants to open the PDF file in Adobe Reader, set the following option to download the file.

Then from COMPAS Go, view the reports. It will download the file as shown below.

Now right click on as highlighted and select the "Always open in Adobe Reader". This will automatically open all the COMPAS Go reports in Adobe Reader.

Simple steps 

1. Copy paste the following on to your browser

chrome://settings/content/pdfDocuments

2. On doing so, the browser navigates to the following page where you can flip the switch to open the PDF in Chrome.
