This article provides information on the splitting of order in COMPAS go.

Criteria for splitting of a single order is as follows.

• When the order has more than 350 line items (including the child lines)

Also, the splitting of line items can be done based on the following selection by the user.

1. Item Number
2. Product Family
3. Report Group ( you will have this soon in COMPAS Go)

Splitting by Item Number

This is the default selection when the number of line item exceeds 350. Before submitting for order creation, the following selection option is displayed to the user.

When the item number option is selected, the line item are split in the same line item order, and is split into individual order with 250 line items.

Splitting by Product Family

1. Following is an order with 943 line items (including the child)

2. When submitting for order, the user get the following selection window. Select the "Product Family" and then click submit.

3. On submitting for order, the information is availabe in the recent quote as shown below.

This informs the user, 6 additional orders are created with the following criteria in place.

1. If the order contains service lines, it is placed in the first order
2. If the order contains customer products, it is placed in the first order
3. If the order contains Panelboard, priority is given in the first order, followed by standard products. Preference is given to P1 to P3 type panelboard. 
4. Fullfilling the above two criteria, other products including switchboard is placed in the next availabe order.
5. Busway is placed in the last order (with maximum of 50 lines, rest is placed in the next order)
