Redline: PowerMod configurations that contain TPS3/ASCO or First Surge products

.

.

Surge Products from ASCO (TPS3 series and First Surge) products are no longer available.  Any quotes with these products included are subject to being red lined.

If you encounter one of these situations, please follow the steps below to resolve.

.

Step 1: Open the configuration in edit mode using wrench icon.
- Upon opening the configuration, select the line that includes the Surge Product that needs to change (click on the wrench icon).

- There are two different situations - see Step 2a and Step 2b below.

.

Step 2a: For current External Mount SPD devices.

A) For any line that shows a PowerMod device # 'WSPD1N' or 'WSPD3N' in the 'Catalog Number' field at the top - do not change that field.

B) Go to the drop-down at the bottom under "Surge Protection Device" also labeled 'Catalog Number' and clear the value, then go to Surge Current Field and select from the valid list of available kA ratings.
- Other fields may need to be cleared as well.

C) Go back to the Catalog number field and select a valid TPS4/Raycap catalog number ( starts with TPS4... or FSPD...). Note: There may be more than one available (typically only for Surge current of 100,000).

Notes:

- If a catalog is selected that is not available, you will get a conflict.

- Some other selections may need to be cleared in order to see the selection list.
- Recommend looking at and selecting Surge Current first - then other fields as needed.
- Some TPS4/Raycap devices may be available in different Surge Current ratings than previously available.

Step 2b: For current Internal Mount SPD devices.  ==> All of these are changed from Factory installed to Field installed.

A) For any line that shows a PowerMod Catalog Number # that looks like this format:
" WSPD1Nxxx” or “WSPD3Nxxx” in the 'Catalog Number' field at the top

B) From the dropdown - select 'clear value' and select either 'WSPD1S' or 'WSPD3S' so that a field installed TPS4 can be selected.
- (additional fields may also need to be cleared).

C) Go to the dropdown at the bottom under "Surge Protection Device" also labeled 'Catalog Number', then change the number to a valid TPS4/Raycap catalog number ( starts with TPS4... )

Notes:

If a catalog is selected that is not available, you will get a conflict.

- Some other selections may need to be cleared in order to see the selection list.
- Recommend looking at and selecting Surge Current first - then other fields as needed.
- Some TPS4/Raycap devices may be available in different Surge Current ratings than previously available.

.

Step 3: ‘Save & Close’ the configuration once all selections are completed.
