SIflex Program

Purpose of the SIFlex Program:

Breaker brokers are a reality we must all live with in an increasingly competitive marketplace.  There is a way to level the playing field and win, the SIflex Program.  You can buy loose breakers, and hardware from Siemens at project levels.  With SIflex your customer can make a breaker addition or modification to an existing project at project levels based on meeting specific conditions and criteria.

How Does it Work?

If customer needs a modification or addition for an incorrect breaker on an existing project that has already shipped within the past 5 years, using SIflex, they can send an incorrect breaker back for a new breaker at project price.

Key Terms:

Modification: the customer has made a change to a breaker, for whatever reason, and this change results in an amperage and/or pole change.

Addition: the customer has added a piece of equipment and needs to add a breaker to the panel or switchboard.

Key Criteria to Qualify:

Timeline: 5 years from the original PO shipment date

Freight: Freight charges apply.  These orders are pre-pay and add if they are less than $1,000. (Change orders are freight allowed).

Warranty Policy: the standard Siemens warranty applies on the new breaker purchases – 18 months from shipment and 12 months from energization.

Order Placement: all replacement breaker orders must be placed in COMPAS and identified by the COMPAS quote number and sales order number.  Stock orders and Industry Mall orders do not apply and will not be credited.  COMPAS quote is generated by customer service, NOT the distributor.

Restrictions on Modifications:  Note following the below standards could result in a reduced credit on the returned breakers

1)     Please inform your Siemens sales rep if the breaker was energized (this will not affect the pricing).

2)     The incorrect breakers must be received within 15 days (per standard RGA guidelines) and properly packaged with each breaker/component segments from one another.

3)     If possible, utilize the same boxes for the purchase of the new breakers.

How to use SIFlex:

1)     Your sales engineer will need the following information: Original Order Number, Original COMPAS Quote Number, and the SAP Account Number for the original Order.  This can all be found on your project screen in COMPAS or Industry Mall (see below).

.

2)     For breaker additions the following information will be required: Part Number, Quantity, the Panel Name in COMPAS, as well as the COMPAS line #

3)     For an order modification the following information will be required: The add section is the same as the previous step, further information is required for the parts being modified; the part number, quantity, which panel they were removed from, the COMPAS line #, and whether or not the breaker has been energized.  Remember whether or not the breaker was energized has no effect on your pricing.

4)     Once you have this information send it to your Sales Engineer and they will process the request with customer service.

5)     Customer service will respond to your Sales Engineer with the updated Excel Spreadsheet with all of the pricing in the pricing tab.  This will only take one day and shouldn’t delay your order.

6)     Specific instructions will be sent via email from customer service in order to process your order.
