When insulated bus is selected on a switchboard, electrical grade tape is applied to the bussing where possible. This excludes vertical bus in a distribution section and all joints & bolted connections
The specification of the tape is as follows:
Material: Polyvinyl Chloride Insulating Tape
Thickness: 0.10 (Ten Thousandths) minimum
Temperature rating 105°C
To configure in COMPAS Go, select the “Bussing” tab under the top level “Switchboard.”
