3VA Breaker Updates

New Twin Mounted 3VA 400A / 600A Breakers in P5

• Horizontal twin mounted 400A and 600A 3VA breakers are available in P5, in addition to the current single mounted option

• Standard P5 38” wide section only

• 3VA breaker types can be twin mounted:  3VA53, 3VA63, 3VA54, 3VA64

• New UI option for Breaker Mounting in COMPAS Panelboard configurator when a P5 38” wide section is configuring

• Default breaker mounting option for 400A / 600A 3VA:

• Single mounted in P5

• Twin mounted 3VA 400A breakers can be placed in standard 38” wide P5 section

• Twin mounted 3VA 600A breakers can only be placed in 46” wide P5 section

• Twin mounted 3VA 400A breakers with SEM3 option requires 46” wide P5 section

• Twin mounted 3VA 600A breakers with SEM3 option can’t be done in P5. This can be configured in Switchboard product

• Unit space height:  twin mounted 400A / 600A breaker kit height is 6.25” 

• Twin mounted option is not available for P4 or P5 32” wide section

• Twin mounted 400A 3VA breakers restrictions in P5:

• Maximum cable size for twin mounted 400A is (2)250Kcmil

• If 600Kcmil lug is required, change section width to 46” wide

• SEM3 device option on twin mounted 3VA 400A breakers require section width of 46”

• Twin mounted 600A 3VA breakers restrictions in P5:

• Twin mounted 600A 3VA in P5 require 46” wide enclosure

• Twin mounted 600A breakers with SEM3 option cannot be done in P5

• Panel lead time for P5 with twin mounted 400A or 600A 3VA breakers:

• Addition 20 days adder for a P5 with twin mounted 400A and 600A 3VA breakers

3VA Series Rated Updates

• KB updates for 3VA series rated offers

P3 800A 3VA Main Breaker Updates

• P3 panels with 800A 3VA main breakers, either 3VA55 or 3VA65, will not have an option of a Sentron 400A JD type subfeed breaker

Sentron & VL Breakers Updates

• New UI informational text note for Sentron ED breakers with Ground Fault Sensing Kit option

• Power panels with VL D frame branch breakers (ND, HD, LD), SME3 option and compression lug require 46” wide section width 

Panelboard KB Other Enhancements

• All P4 panels will require Tech. Review from November COMPAS release as per future P4 phase out preparation

• Users can start the process of converting P4 panels to either P3 or P5 with 32” wide section if they want to bypass Tech. Review process

• Special locks option rules are updated:

• Lighting panels: special lock option is removed with N3R outdoor or NEMA 4X enclosure

• Power panels: special lock option is removed with NEMA 4X enclosure

• Power panels with 200/200A, 400A, and 600A VBS require custom design enclosure, no standard box catalog number will be generated in COMPAS order line

• KB rules updates for custom interior design settings

• Series rated updates for non-3VA breakers

• Power panels breaker pricing adjustment
